About the Event
A free concert to mark the coronation of King Charles III. Programme will include Zadok the Priest by G. F. Handel, I Was Glad by C. H. H. Parry and Crown Imperial March by W. Walton.
Performances by the 'Strings Attached' Orchestra (Conductor Trevor Wilson and Leader Julie Bates) and the 'Thirsk Coronation Choir' (Organist Matthew Atherton).
Admission is free, with cakes and refreshments available during the interval and a retiring collection in aid of the “organ appeal”.
The bells of St. Mary’s will also ring out from 2.30pm as part of the 'Ring for the King'
